Based on what players have said via media, if Burke gets the permanent HC job it sounds like most everyone would be likely to stay. Somebody else, who knows?

Situation reminds me a lot of Siddle when Keatts left. A big factor in his favor was probable player retention and keeping the status quo. I know many don't want to include that in the decision making process, but it is a major factor.

The big difference there is transitioning from a winning regime and here it's a losing.

It may not be a winning tradition in our eyes, but it is in the current players. They believe in Burke and have made it clear. The risk of transfers if we hire a different coach isn't just a chance we take, it's likely to happen. This has been made clear.
