QBs is THE big issue. It could be the difference between a successful and unsuccessful season.

I'm very concerned about our 2018 offense. IMHO this was the year to be MAC Champions! Since our schedule is weaker the last four games, I believe statistically at the end of the season, we will have the best overall Defense. However, the offense was sooooooo bad and Special Teams even worse, we've put ourselves in a very bad situation. I know you guys kid me about Roback, but the kid is the best QB in this state and will get drafted in the NFL. The OC has not taken advantage of a 4 star QB and put Players into position to be successful. Next year we will be grooming a QB and that is going to be interesting....

Partially disagree. Certainly where Roback has thrown into coverage, it is on him. However, there have been plenty of questions regarding Roback regressing his senior year which is laughable to me. If we look at our 3rd down conversion rate, all of us would say it's unacceptable. How many times on 3rd down do we throw 25 yards down the field vs throwing at the sticks just to get a first down. Roback certainly doesn't control the routes being run or lack of creative play calling. Listen I'm not dismissing some terrible reads because yesterday even the kid Mayfield who is leading Heisman candidate thru two picks. Roback has been killed by dropped passes and passes bouncing off our receivers hands/shoulder pads etc too. I believe Roback may leave here as the all time EMU passing leader. He will play in the NFL. All of the Roback critics will see how good he was when you see next year's QB. Hopefully the 2018 Qb grows up quickly!!
Put the blame wherever you want, and slice it 50 different ways, but the Roback/Keen combination simply didn't get the job done. The offense obviously struggled, with a 5th year Sr. QB, 3 returning WR's, and 4 returning RB's. The OL was poor in the run game, but protected Roback well.
Yes Roback will likely get a shot in the NFL, he has the arm. Good luck to him, everyone hopes he makes an NFL roster. The more EMU guys in the league, the better.
Not sure what your point is about poor 3rd down conversions, and throwing 25 yards downfield instead of just throwing for first downs. You seem to be defending Roback here because of the routes and play calling? In reality, after watching for the last 2 years, this is where he seemed to struggle the most. The favorite play of our offense the last 2 years was the deep outside lob. That was Brogan's favorite throw, and his decision only. Last year we completed more of those 50/50 throws, this year not so much.
EMU just isn't going to provide the type of QB coaching he needs. Get him the right coach, and a couple years to learn, in the right situation, and he may have a long career. Wrong coach, wrong situation, may never even get an opportunity.
Let's just win out, get the bowl game, and end a very difficult season on a good note.
