My same thought, dancing. I’m hoping the WAC sweeps Illinois this year! I may go up and watch that one in champaign. It’s about a six hour drive north for me. Likely will get cheap tickets with the students on break and it being the day before New Year’s Eve.

Congrats, Aggies.
My only prediction for the 2018-19 season so far is that Finke's brother ends up as a grad transfer to GCU, to fill spot left by graduating Vernon, further mentor young Euros, and play with little bro.

Well obviously the WAC is getting stronger each year as a whole. A few years ago NMSU dominated the WAC, but struggled to beat a team on the road like Illinois. Now, NMSU can beat a team like Illinois but it still doesn't guarantee NMSU will the WAC tourney this season. GCU has steadily grown in strength as a program. Hayford appears to have awaken the sleeping giant in Seattle U. that many of us believe the Redhawk program could be. And, UVU has much more talent now than ever under Hunsaker. Heck, Cal State Bakersfield is still tough as nails under Barnes but that might not surmount to more than a 4th or 5th place finish in this WAC.

WAC is no pushover that's for sure. However, with Bakersfield leaving it shows that it is by no means standing on solid ground. The WAC basically has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel unless Hurd pulls a rabbit out of his hat.

Seattle U currently a 77% chance to win vs Cal on ESPN BPI. Wonder what the Vegas odds will be.
As long as its competitive, I wont be too concerned if SU loses, but zero reasons they cant beat Cal at home on Tuesday

The programs individually are getting stronger in basketball. It is logistics that is keeping the WAC on a slippery slope. The WAC footprint is too spread out and educational demands of each school vary. If the WAC is going to prosper, Hurd will need to find schools to fill in the gaps of WAC footprint; schools who are not so particular about the company they keep academically.

Love that we have 5 teams over .500 at this point of the season, with UTRGV just one game below. Not sure anyone is taking it from NMSU this season, but I guess that's why they play the games.
