I wish they'd show the recruiting stars before they pick the college AND AFTER..so we'd see how a 3 star recruit becomes a 4 star by signing at a P5 and a 4 star becomes a 3 star when he picks a non P5 school. It's getting so absurd. Houstons class last year was phenomenal but the player's ratings dropped after they officially signed. It's total bullsh!t
Cheers!

He isn't the only reason Houston's recruiting has improved.

Sure, there are other reasons. But, he's the primary reason

Herman will get offers every year.
There's about 12-15 programs I worry about -- essentially the schools that: 1) have won multiple national titles, and 2) draw 75K+ per game. But several of them just made new hires.
Herman truly believes that Houston is an easier road to a NY6 bowl than most of the P5 schools. And we're paying him serious jack and building him the IPF he wants.
He could leave at any time, but I really think he'll be here several years until the perfect opportunity comes along. He just did an hour long program for students of the Bauer College of Business with the Dean. A coach who is looking to leave at the first opportuntity doesn't engage the community like this. Sumlin didn't. Briles didn't.
Oh, and don't forget he's got a big carrot to stick around. If UH gets a P5 invite on his watch, he gets a $5M bonus.

If you are correct and he does stay then Houston will have a P5 invite coming soon...I honestly believe he's like Urban Meyer was when he was coming up at BG and Utah. Herman is going to be a college football coaching legend. I think he's gone to a P5 heavyweight though if Houston doesn't get the call up soon. He's just too good. Hope you are right!
Cheers!

It's way too early to get hyped for the 2017 recruiting class. Half the people on that list will sign elsewhere and half your recruiting class is probably committed somewhere else right now.

According to Kronke, one decommitted while this thread was active......just a bit of humor.
It can't be ignored how well Herman and his assistants recruit. They are good in selling he university to potential signees and there's not been any recruiting accusations of them being outside the guidelines. He and his staff have been impressive and you just don't win without talent.

Lol this sounds like Baseball Tonight guys talking about this guy is going to win the Triple Crown this year 9 games into a 162 game season. The guy is a good coach, that is obvious. But good lord, he has coached ONE year. People are falling all over themselves, better hope he doesn't go 8-5 this year. You know Kevin Sumlin went 12-1 too at Houston.

Actually, he went 11-1. He wasn't our coach in the bowl game. And that was his last year, not his first. Just FYI.
