In his debut Hoying was 0-2 and was also picked off 1st once.

Hoying started again Tuesday night for Texas. 0-1 with a walk. Was pinch-hit for in the 7th. Rangers defeated the Angels 4-1.

A little late with this, but Hoying got his first major league hit on May 28th. Here's a link to the game story: there's a video of the hit here too. It's toward the end of the story. A liner to center for a single. When they cut to a shot of Hoying reaching first, you can also see the Texas dugout. It's great to see his teammates in the dugout applauding.

Hoying had been sent down but was called back up by Texas. Had a good day on Wednesday (the 6th).

Hoying got a chance to pitch an inning last week. Gave up a homer in 4 batters faced.

Hoying was called up again this week and made a splash yesterday. Went 4-4 including his first major league homer!
