How was this not discussed in here? I feel like he coached up a lot of linebackers. His defense was monstoruous, but he also had the Chosen Wun and Sutton Smith. Stinks he's going to Ball State...

He was a Rod Carey and Kevin Kane guy. I doubt he has any connections to the current staff. Frazier would have had to wanted him very badly and forced him on Hammock for him to be on this staff.

As much as people question Hammock and his hiring ability, the last thing I want is Frazier forcing anyone on him.

I liked Knowles when he was here too, but it’ll be interesting to see how he does without more or less just keeping Kane’s system in place with Kane’s talent.

Knowles would have been a great addition but it's hard to argue with the defense we played last year. Only if we can have a great offense to go along with a great defense... I felt bad for our guys last year. Sutton, Corcoran, Juwon, and Pugh had a lot of success but we would've been 2012 special if we had a semblance of an offense.
