i watched most of this game on the web last night.

He missed all his 3pt attempts. he had a tomahawk dunk down middle of the lane, a layup and two mid-range shots. he played PG most of the night and had a lot of minutes.

he was a good game manager for his team. he did have 4 fouls but at least 3 of them were because other players messed up and he prevented some bunny makes.

I never thought he had much of a chance to make it in the NBA, but always said if he did, it would be as playing as a true point guard. He really morphed his game into that at UAB, especially the last couple of months of the season.

He wasn’t going to make it as a shooter, scorer, one on one defender, and his athleticism would only carry him so far. His path was as a true point guard, which is crazy to say bc his decision making in college for 75% of year one and early on his 2nd year was abysmally bad. He really morphed into a smart, heady, composed player. He came in as the antithesis to that.
