That number is in error for Georgetown. It appears the EADA report doubled the basketball budget and placed the wrong date (it lists 2019-20 instead of 2023-24).

Rest assured the basketball program did not earn $34 million in revenue averaging 6,755 a game last season.

The date went back last year too, when they updated the numbers. It could be that they aren't done yet. Huge jumps in reported revenue aren't uncommon. Duke football for example. Virginia's did around 2011.

Yale's revenues would put them in the top half of the AAC, #2 in the MWC, and #8 among G5 schools including the indies. I get that they sponsor a lot of sports, but that's a lot of money getting put into what's by and large low-major athletics.

Don't look into anything regarding the dates. When they updated the numbers last year, the same glitch happened (the year reverting backwards into time). Then the dates were adjusted later. It's a glitch in their software.

Half of their total expenses were not allocated by gender or sport. Perhaps it’s a new all-purpose indoor facility?

Does this "revenue" include stuff like transfers from the academic side and mandatory student fees?

I'd love to know what accounting practices LIU uses to claim $42 million in revenue. My only thought is they're including athlete tuition.

Their 4 home football games had a total attendance (not average, total) of 6k. Their basketball team did not crack 1,000 fans for a single home game.

Although revenues is what these are titled, a more accurate title would be expenses since few sports at a few schools make a profit.
