It is interesting that WGRR Oldies are right there with them. The radio population is probably mostly 50+.

I turn on the stooge report when I think about it. I don't care about much else on Willie's show as it is always the same stuff. I like Eddie and Rocky. McConnell kept the format Jim Scott used when he came back, but before he left he lost me because I caught him either lying or being severely uninformed but talking like he was in the know on several different topics. I don't find myself in the car when Sloanie is on anymore, but I used to like him as he was better about covering both sides of the coin. I don't listen to Lance at all, and actually turn it off if I hear his voice.

I used to love listening to Lance. I'd listen to anything else at this point. I get nothing from those shows.

Once Lance told me he didn't understand what the issue was with crossing the bridge during rush hour, I realized he's not worth listening to any longer. This was during the time UC was playing at NKU. He kept saying it's only a few miles. It takes me 20 min to get to UC and 45-60 min to get to NKY during rush hour. It's not the end of the world, but it was a major hurdle for going to games for me at least.

Lance used to log in here. That was fun.

Lance’s format is stale. I love Mo, but even his show can be boring. My favorite sports radio is when Tony and Moe and Auty are all on together. It’s good to have someone that can challenge a position.

Exactly. The sports talk is what I was referring in my earlier post. Lance’s formula is 70% Reds talk, 15% Bengals, and the rest a mixture of minor league baseball, Pat Kelsey, high school coaches, nostalgia from the 70s and 80s and sports memorabilia guests. Go to just about any comparable market and you’ll hear banter between 2-3 personalities, with broader sports topic mixed in with some comedy. These markets bring in guests from various networks and publications (while we get a guy who writes a Reds or Bengals Blog, they get Karl Ravech, David Cone, etc. Moreover they limit the calls from the 10 minute rambling calls from Bill in Burlington or Dave at the Airport. It’s just unlistenable and has been for a decade.

Right on cue this morning Kimberly Adams, McConnels side kick, was literally singing sentences.
It's 40ish women trying to be 18, weird sad immature.

It's so weird. 700WLW or whoever owns them thinks going Kardasian will reap ratings lol. Seriously it's not going to bring in women listeners.

There are no callers anymore. Nobody takes calls. But idiot women quasi hosts suzy secular blah blah? Rocky and Eddy are kinda falling into the trap. 700 isn't going to snatch listeners going down this route. People act like younger listeners will always be younger listeners....I started listening in 89.

It's really Ken Broo and Gary Jeff (who does 6-9 AM on Saturday for 25 years) that's reasonably decent. Broo does a great job with the rock history stuff and actually taped good interviews.

still trying to figure out why we ran broo off? i 'member listening to broo dog while driving around maria stein trying to get the baby to nap during thanksgiving time. he had some guest on who was talking about how to thanksgiving responsibly or something and broo dog said something like, they can do what i do and not drink. now he pimps little miami brewery. i think that's what really got me into broo dog's corner; now had he still abstained i think i still woulda liked him but you know, 700 started their descent once sensible don left

I think Mo is knowledgeable, but he tends to drone on and on and beat a point to death.

I used to dislike Ken Broo, but I also enjoy his Sunday morning show - especially his interviews with musicians.
