Saw CA article about Cordova HS Senior Mr Basketball KJ Tenner. Decommitted from Drake. I haven't seen KJ Tenner play. Just watched some highlights and he looks small, above average handles and average speed/quickness. Seems to be mostly a mid-range production guy at the next level (D1). Not a true point-guard (but who is at that level??). Not a fair assessment for as little as I've seen of him, but that's what I see. Seems like MEMPHIS could have him if we wanted him.

Anyone have insight? Can the kid play? What's the scouting report on him from some that have watched him?

Penny wouldn't give him any PT, and he would end up transferring the next year anyway

I’m thinking he’s saying it because that is what penny has done to most all Fr not named Hardaway

If you get the high-value recruit first, it's easier to get other players that want to play with him. Like someone invites you to a party and you ask who else is gonna be there before you commit...

EXACTLY! And this is a HUGE piece! Looks like we'll fill a roster more quickly this year, as Penny said he'd like to do.
