Seems to have a good resume.
From a basketball perspective I hope he moves the conference tournament to a more centrally located city, and bring in some sort of combo of SLU, Dayton, or VCU

SMU leaving changes nothing. North Texas is in the same metro area and honestly had signifantly more fans in Fort Worth than SMU.
Nobody wants the return of the "Memphis Invitational" on a long term basis.
The contract with Fort Worth expires with the 2025-26 season, although the AAC does have an option to extend.
Ideally the tournament site would rotate through each quadrant of the league, giving more people a chance to experience it. (Texas/Oklahoma/Kansas; South; Florida; Atlantic Coast)
