or the utter failure of the selection committee? 8 bids to the SEC was absurd, as was the number of bids given to the Big12, who had something like a 3-9 record vs the ACC before the tournament.

Phillips' silence is quite perplexing.

Probably not in public.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some changes implemented. I think it's painfully obvious December ≠ February and November ≠ March, yet they are weighted the same.

It's a shame that they way the brackets are set up that only two ACC teams could possibly make the final four.

Yeah, I was complaining about that. Apparently that changed some years back. It never used to happen.

ACC head-to-head with Big XII

11 - 3

ACC record in NCAA Tourney

8 - 1

All Conference Records in Tourney to Sweet Sixteen

1. Big East - 6 - 0
2. ACC - 8 - 1
3. PAC12 - 6 - 3
4. West Coast - 2 - 1
5. Big Ten - 6 - 4
6. Big XII - 7 - 6
7. Atlantic 10 - 2 - 2
8. SEC - 5 - 6
9. Mountain West - 4 - 5
10. American - 0 - 2

Big East has been impressive. Probably should have had more than 3 in the big dance. They are odds on favorite to cut the nets down again.

SEC is probably the most disappointing. They were seeded for much bigger success than what they delivered.

You say that as if crowing is a good thing.

A little "The ACC is NCAA tournament caliber basketball" unlike the SEC, B1G and B12 could go a long way.

Does he 'crow' about anything? (Other than the ACC being a distant third in revenues?)

I'm not sure 'crowing' is his style, really.

It is not my style either, but he probably needs to have someone with a loud voice do it for him.
