Are the assistants on the same calendar for contracts as the head coach, e.g. their contract expire in June?
I'd assume this particular coach is paying attention to what Cornell decides to do with its new staff.

Respectfully, I hope we're aiming higher.

I don't disagree with you, but I'm starting to get a sinking feeling that Dane wasn't just a bad coach, but that he was horrible. All of the players leaving, etc. When I see Chase Lowe make a statement like he did about his game being more suited to Earl's style, I just had to pause.

He didn't struggle terribly like he did with us but he was still playing 10 MPG as a junior on a bottom-half Socon team. Nothing personal, seems like a nice kid, but raising the standard of the program necessitates some unpleasant discussions about who doesn't meet that standard.
In the mildest defense of Dane, I would say most of the guys who left were not more successful somewhere else--Loewe, Stone, Ayesa and Wight. Kochera and Covington definitely were but it's hard to say who just develops and who doesn't. Lowe was arguably our best player last year so if he feels better about the new coach that feels great, although you'd certainly expect some selection bias in who feels excited about their prospects and who's actually sticking around.

Sorry that my point wasn't clear. It wasn't about Rice or anyone in particular, just that it was a mess. The point about Lowe was that Fischer may not have cared to coach to his players' styles.

Someone pointed out that Rice recently visited Hampton. I was perplexed, at first, then figured he may need VA credits?
Anyway, he went from conference All Rookie to playing spot minutes on a bad squad.

Season ticket renewals went out a little while ago. It is hard to imagine why anyone would pay to watch last season, but not wanting to renew to see what comes next. Go Tribe!
