Bolded, I know as Bearcat fans we've often come to expect worst case scenarios. But aside from message board chatter, has there been any substantive report that Jizzle isn't happy here or is looking toward the portal? Wes must have established a strong relationship with him to get him onboard and I've seen nothing to suggest any of our players are disenchanted with our coach.

Agree. Worrying about it is silly at this point. My perception is the team appears to love Wes and each other. We seem to have the core of a B12 and extended ncaa run and the home environments have been awesome, including Jizzle soaking it in after the game. I'll worry about Wes losing core players when he starts losing core players and not waste my time until I see it. Until then I expect transfers out to be guys who don't see themselves developing into their desired roles.

Even Rayvon who I've talked with people who worry was shooting with McKinley after yesterday's game. You really think he's leaving with a friend coming in?

You have to imagine Vik and/or Jamille are gone if today's rotations are any indication.

Coach was asked about Vik and gave something of a non-answer. That said, there was no indication that Vik was injured or that injury was keeping him out.

Lobot on BearcatNews saying that reports from those close to the program are that Vik "has an established pattern of not taking practice seriously."

That would be in line with want Wes said, which was essentially that we'll see how practice goes and that will determine if Vik gets any minutes in our next game.

It's unfortunate if that's what is keeping Vik out, as I firmly believe Vik was one of our best players for 2/3rds of the year and could be again. But can't blame Wes for setting expectations, especially since lately Vik often seems out of it when he does get in the game. If that's the case, it would seem unlikely he'll return next year.

I do wonder if he's still not 100% healthy too.

What an odd issue to pop up in the post-season.

That's typically an "early season" issue that gets addressed by the time conference play begins. And usually not an issue you see develop in a multi-year, returning player...

Vik is "sulking" based on his reduced role with the team over the last 8-10 games. It has been evident in games and apparently has manifested itself in practices as well. If that continues, Vik will be gone before next October's practices begin and hopefully Reynolds will be also for the same reasons. Reynolds has improved not a whit since the beginning of the year and is a complete liability on the defensive end. These departures will open up a role for a transfer 5 and the bar will be low to improve upon what Vik and Reynolds gave us this year.

Chad confirmed in the post game comments that Wes said it was a coach's decision on the DNP, not injury related.

Someone just told me that next weeks game has been announced as Wed at 9pm, home or away. I have not seen anything to confirm that. Has anyone else heard that?

RE: Bradley at Cincy
I was planning to road trip to Terre Haute to watch the game and then come back that night. Terre Haute is about a 3 hour drive. With a 9pm start, I'm starting to have 2nd thoughts.

Bolded, that could be an even longer ride home if ISU plays like they did this afternoon. Did I hear right? All five starters average double figures in scoring?

I watched a lot of the game and was left wondering how (what is now) a 30 win team got left out of the NCAA while we watched numerous also rans from the SEC and MWC left in the dust the first weekend.

This will be a very tough place to win. Their fans haven't had a lot to cheer about since Larry Bird and they seem to have been saving all their cheering energy since the late 70's. It was a great home environment and a pretty friendly whistle from the stripes. ISU showed a lot of patience on offense and I think they're comfortable with any of their starters taking the shot when they get an open look and they got plenty of those against the Gophers this afternoon. One has to wonder if their coach will be getting some P4 interviews this spring as the coaching carousel spins.

RE: Bradley at Cincy
I lived in Terre Haute during the late 80's and early 90's. That town was always starved for athletic success of some kind. Their used to a hotel in town called Larry Bird's Boston Connection that had all kinds of Larry Bird stuff in the lobby and restaurant. It's not a bad drive from Cincinnati, so I'd like to go if I can.
