He led us in receiving last season so if it’s because of playing time, our WR room should be better.

That’s what I’m hoping. Between him and Granger leaving that’s some talent gone. If they’re leaving due to being passed over by better guys that’s a good thing. IF that’s why.

Lets not forget we have a new wide receivers coach this year too. Not saying it is the reason, but there could be some philosophical differences between the position coach and players too.

Certainly a possibility, but players are transferring these days if they wake up in a bad mood. There's no rhyme or reason behind it.

Initial guesses were right. PT is a commodity and not everyone is gonna get it. So you leave now for a chance to find it elsewhere.

The transfers you see at this time of year are guys that see the writing on the wall. They finish out spring practice and hope to find playing time elsewhere.

If people are correct that a lot of the players entering the portal for ODU are doing so because they don't expect to get much playing time, that doesn't make it seem like the coaches did a very good job with recruiting in recent years. Either that or they're suddenly getting much better recruits this time around. You would think that the guys returning would have the inside track on playing time.

Our current coaching staff has failed to land a stud wide receiver from the high school ranks that has actually stuck around and contributed for us. Their best receiver they have brought in to the program thus far was... transfer Ali Jennings.

Seems like we have a heck of a lot more on the out than coming in. Makes you wonder.
