I would be more concerned if Everett was a good rebounder.

My take is Everett is probably the most polished now and Dowouna and CSR are about the same skill level at the moment, but CSR has more potential. Maybe our new mystery commitment will be better than Everett.

To every disadvantage there is an advantage. CSR can run the floor, and can use some quickness and his motor.

He seems to have good size/athletic ability. Had some spurts at Maryland and Jones obviously knows the guy.

I kept thinking we needed a PG, but we only have 2 spots left. At PG, we have Imo, Johnson (took a prep year so might be more experienced than a true freshman), and Ceaser.

With 2 spots, I would take another big guy and see if you can land Hodge. If no Hodge, I wouldn't mind another shooter, we have a lot of wing athletes.

Id rather get one more big and a point guard so we can let Caesar concentrate on being that shooter. Im not so sure he's the answer as a back up PG.

Ceaser is not a shooter. He's likely gonna be the backup ball handler/scorer.

Agreed. He made some nice shots last season, but not a consistent three point shooter. I hate to say it, but we now have nobody like the three we had last season, on a bad team. Everybody says we still have a mystery player, I hope he is a great three point shooter at the three spot.

Hubbard was announced but I want to warn you that he wasn't in the portal.

Davis and Hubbard can both shoot for sure.

I know Hubbard was not in the portal, as he is in high school. I do wonder if MJ was recruiting him before he left Maryland or much after. Remember, Hubbard will be a freshman.

On Hodge, I am only going what M13 said, could be a remote possibility. Again, if two scholarships, I would take a big & a shooter, whether PG or SF. Then I will be satisfied, except for one thing. I wonder how many scholarships, MJ would have, next year.

I guess you can say that for sure. He did average 11-12 points in the ASUN as a fresh/soph, but that league is not very good. Stepped up to Big East but couldnt hang so now hes in a better conference than the ASUN. But, you only get him for 1 year and not sure he's better than Caelum

Interesting that he ranked very poorly at Austin Peay:

https://evanmiya.com/?player_ratings

and at Seton Hall:

He was voted Freshman of the Year by the head coaches of the OVC who actually watched him play games.

No need in trying to balance classes any more with the portal. He’d have least 3 or 4 probably.

As much as I look at the portal, I realize MJ has choices other than the portal. High school & overseas are available and the possibility of Hodge getting out of his signed agreement with Villanova. As far as things are going, the last two, could not be in the portal. I was just saying, as of May 1st that will be the only players they could recruit, if they went into the portal.

I am only concerned that MJ has enough scholarships, to recruit high players next season. He will have a full year of recruiting could bring in top talent. The more scholarships, the more increasing of talent on this squad.

Call me being not clear. I don’t understand your comment on arguing with yourself? It seems you like to pick on me, Mr. Geek if you don’t like my thoughts, just delete me!
