I still recall our Indiana State performance last year so I have nothing to say. Just thankful that I don't have to stomach watching another rival in the Final Four.

I wanted JMU to win only, for conference money for Wood. Unfortunately, JMU embarrassed the sunbelt conference, today.

It’s not money that is the first and foremost need for Wood Selig. It is a basic understanding on what it takes to be a competent A.D.

Since he seems to be completely immune from accountability for failure, I hope at they very least that Wood Selig is being required to watch and take notes during every second of every bit of the impressive success that JMU has had this year in their athletic programs. It is unlikely, but just perhaps he might learn something from the process.

Wood was probably too busy celebrating our WNIT bid to do any self reflection.

I would love it if any local Hampton Roads media member asked Wood to grade himself on his ODU tenure and his performance. I would love to hear his response.

Yikes. There's a bad career move for an up and coming coach. But, I guess you take the money while you can because it may not be there later.

JMU has a mess on their hands. Their AD is retiring, their president is headed to American, just hired a football coach, and now their basketball coach is out, and they have a significant looming budget issue once they are forced to adhere to the Cox Bill's FBS limits.

Hypothetically, 5 years at a few million per year is a lot better than a 15 year run at $500k per year. Gotta take the money if you need it. Once you're set for life you can make choices for other reasons. I doubt he's at that point yet.

Somehow, some way, they will find a way. Meanwhile, ODU is here in FBS, kind of, sort of, still trying to figure things out in its major sports.

I assume we did as well, but they are maximizing that 7 years and if I remember correctly, we got down to the goal almost immediately rather than using those 7 years to get a bunch of things done before them money train came to an end.

Who at ODU, made that decision?
