I have no idea how NIT hosting works, but I would have thought USF should have been a higher seed and hosting that game.

The Cartel programs are guaranteed to host first round, part of the changes introduced this year. They also took away the peasant leagues' auto-bids and gave those to mediocre Cartel programs.

The NIT is the test bed for the NCAA Tournament. Sankey is tired of schools he's never heard of stealing his money and exposure. He's pretty much saying that openly. Enjoy March Madness now; we'll not see its like again.
