Tristen Newton did at UCONN exactly what he did at ECU.

He just had help and good coaching.

Always liked Newton, remember Coach P posting some of his highlights when he committed to ECU and realized he would be a really good player.

Never expected him to end up a legend in Storrs, though he has achieved that status. Dude is an all time great for a really good program, we are all going to miss watching him so much next year. I know it sucked for ECU fans to lose him, but a nice thing about the portal is it allows dudes like him, who deserve a chance on the biggest stages, to shine.

I know this isn’t AAC related, but we just had Apostolos Roumoglou enter the portal. 6’7 guard out of Greece, kid was buried on our depth chart but has ice water in his veins and is an absolute baller… Really hoping AAC teams pursue him, he could help someone’s roster out a lot, and it would give me another reason to keep pulling for him.
