Pretty sure if AK coached at Menphis wih the resources Penny has, AK would be making the tournament most years. Kennedy is a good coach, not great, but it was obvious during the mic'd up session during the Memphis UAB game in Bham that AK can coach circles around Penny during games.

Other than one lucky run last year, Penny has been exactly what I said he was when you hired him, a cheater who uses court orders to prevent the NCAA sanctions till after the year, a decent recruiter who rolls the ball out and shows zero tatical ability and poor player management. I hope he never leaves.

You all will start dumb threads about how you should be the favorites, declare yourselve national championship contenders at midnight madness, complain we won't give you the tournament on your home floor so you can actually make the dance and turn into smoke 2/3s of the way into conference play. Old faithful and Memphis basketball are the only sure thing besides death and taxes.

Dumbest post I've read in awhile. If UAB wins today, AK will match Penny's achievements in less time, with far less resources, and without any of the drama.

I'd take AK over Penny any day, and I'm pretty sure if you took a poll on here most would feel the same. At least most non Memphis fans.
