I was simply wondering how his background might be viewed in Louisville.

Louisville has a strong religious following so shouldn’t be a big issue

I just asked Cardinal Jim. Is Drew your top choice, CFan1?

Not that you asked, but I want the quickest gun in the South, Wild Will Wade stalking that sideline!

On a similar note, I talked yesterday to a Vanderbilt fan of 60 years, and he does not want Will Wade as Commodore coach. I'm open to it.

He's got more of a Tennessee State vibe than Vandy if we're talking Music City.

I think he ends up at Okie State or Arkansas if Musselman pulls the plug.

Eddie Sutton ring a bell?

Wade actually might be very well suited for Arkansas.

I'm not hearing much, if anything, on "Wade to Vanderbilt." But I don't talk to folks as much as a once did.

Some reports here in Louisville about Chris Mack getting the Vanderbilt job.

Just checked and not seeing much here in Nashville about it. Interesting.

Mack would be a rather strong hire for VU. Not sure how I feel about it, however.
