Most people have no idea he has cancer, and unknowingly played through it during the season.

I'm kinda disappointed you guys aren't coming to Herdtown this year, I run a cancer nonprofit up here and I feel like we could've done something special in his honor.

He's a strong individual, for sure. On Twitter, both Troy University and Troy's NIL collective are taking up money for Chris Lewis. Very touching to see. Thank you to the Marshall fan who posted above me also.

That would've been amazing.
That's very thoughtful. Marshall Nation is full of great people like you.

Gave what I could and hope his recovery goes well. I don't say that just because I want him to play BUT I know he wants to be out there with his teammates.

Wow, great story on life and humanity. You Trojans should be proud to have him wearing your colors.

I just donated to the cause and I hope everyone else will too. I hate seeing young people get a bad diagnosis. You expect to see these things as we all age and succumb to Father Time, but not in a vibrant 20 year old elite athlete.
Prayers for his quick and complete recovery.

Things like this are bigger than any game...As much as we hate that school up North, I'd hope that none of our peeps (there's always one) would wish this on anyone! I wanted to do something with the Brian Kelly Foundation when MU took on the Irish, but he moved south before the game...As for vibrant 20yr old, before my family being taken 'scorched earth" causing me to start the charity, one of my HS teacher's daughter was d/x at 17...However, she gave me the most perfect lesson in perspective!
"The good thing about not having any hair, when I get ready for school, I don't have to shave my legs, don't have to wash my hair...just throw on some soapy water and I'm good!" Well ok then, if that's what you're goin' with..
