Nice win. Need to do much better on free throws. Great job limiting turnovers.

Lowe finishes with 18 points, 16 Reb, and 6 assists with 2 block shots plus 2 steals and only 1 turnover. Amazing game

RE: CAA men’s Tourney
You pulled away to lead 79-60 and win 79-62. Gabe Dorsey, Moss, and Lowe tied for your lead with 18 points. Lowe had 16 rebounds and 6 assists. He became your first player with at least 18 points, at least 16 rebounds, and at least 6 assists since David Cully had your team record 26 rebounds on January 17, 1996. Cully did not get many assists, but box scores are not available from back then. Your record book for rebounds says it is since 1973, and your only players who could have had 18, 16, and 6 since then are Cully, Todd Cauthorn, Carl Parker, Tim Trout, and Brant Weidner. If W&M's recap or any of you find out if you had an 18, 16, and 6 game before, post it here. You attempted 33 twos and 33 threes. Both teams attempted 66 field goals, and NC A&T attempted 19 threes. Landon Glasper led all players with 21 points, but shot 8-21 including threes 2-10, and 2-10 in the second half. Nikolaos Chitikoudis had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Uchenna Kellman-Nicholes got a late technical foul and did not score. Normally people who get technicals without scoring are coaches, and I wish I could find out how rare it is for a player to get a technical and not score. You became the third team this season to have at least 79 points, at least 44 rebounds, and 4 or fewer turnovers against a Division I team, and one of the previous two was High Point in an overtime loss to Hofstra.

Nice win! It was our first ever against the Aggies and our 18th win in CAA tourneys. After going through that awful tourney stretch in the 90s and early 00s, I have learned to appreciate any win at the event.

Loved our rebounding, not do much the free throws.

4 team turnovers. I love that. Tomorrow: get better from the free throw line, make some 3’s, enter the game with confidence…you never know. Let’s go Tribe!!

I attended our home game against Towson and it was a winnable game. We were only down by 5 points with 48 seconds to play. This was without Williams and Houpt.

Gabe was only 3-16 for 3 point shooting and we missed many layups.

Time to travel to DC and support the players as their efforts deserve it

We bettered A&T in every category except FT% and points in the paint. Only 4 Tribe turnovers is hard to believe.

I guess Dane bought himself another day.

Where do you get your data? The W&M AND NCAA record for rebounds is held by Bill Chambers, who played in the late forties/early fifties. Without looking it up, I believe the record is 53 (maybe 51).

Chambers had 51 boards for W&M vs. UVa in 1953. No one has even pulled down 40 in over 60 years. On ESPN, they were talking about NCAA records that will never be broken. They should have mentioned Chambers' mark.

Chambers NCAA record is 51, in 1953, against UVA. Cully holds the most since the start of CAA (+ ECAC South) play for the Tribe.

Probably. I was just surprised that no one in the production truck asked him that question, especially after the 5th or 6th time he did it. Mac's getting old.

I haven’t checked the site lately to see if it has changed its rationale…but the CAA used to count tournament records going back to 1983 (when the league was the ECAC South). So, using that data, I have kept a running list for more than 20 years. Going into today the Tribe was 21-41 (33.9%) and 0-5 in Finals appearances (including our loss to JMU in 1983). It is never good to be in a play-in game if you have serious thoughts about winning the tournament….but at least a win in a play-in game allows our tournament winning percentage to go up!
