I don’t know who was more horrible last night,Miami or Akron, or maybe me with my prediction. Akron blew a MAC regular season championship losing to the worst team in the league who was minus the MAC’s leading scorer, Miami was dominated all night long, including by the Rockets second team. Check out these shooting stats. Toledo’s 5 subs were 13 of15 from the floor and 4 of 5 on threes!! Miami’s 4 upper class men were a combined 4 of 22 with all 4 makes coming late in the game vs UT’s subs.

If Kent, Ball, and WMU get into a three team tie, Kent has the best percentage against the other two, then Ball, then WMU. Does that elevate Kent so that a two team tiebreaker goes into effect for WMU/Ball (which WMU wins)? Or does that eliminate WMU?

Yeah i think you're correct. Ball State needs to win and have Western lose but they also need Kent State to lose. (I think!) lol

Based on my not professional understanding of the tiebreakers.:
Toledo and Akron battling for the 1 seed.
Ohio has clinched the 3 seed. They can finish in a 3 way tie for first if things fall right, but lose the tiebreakers to both.
Central is locked into the 4 I think.
BG and Miami are most likely 5 and 6 in some order. (Miami can fall to 8th in one scenario and BG can fall as low as 7 I think)
Kent can reach the #5 seed, but could also fall to 8.
WMU can be anywhere from 6 to 8.
Ball State can only slide in as the 8 seed if they finish tied with booth Kent and WMU.

You're right in my estimation. I also think Miami could fall to #8 if BG, Miami, Kent State, and WMU finish at 9-9.

That's my understanding too. A three way tie between Kent, WMU and Ball state would go to head to head winning % amongst tied team. Kent would be 2-1, Ball State 2-2 and WMU 1-2.

Tiebreaker scenarios do make for fun speculation, though!

It's cool that so much is hanging on the results of the last night of the season. Four games have a direct impact on seeding. Nice!

While BSU doesn't control their own destiny and a few things have to fall their way, they have to feel kinda good about their chances.

BSU at BGSU feels like a toss-up to me. Meanwhile WMU and Kent are gonna be big underdogs against Akron and Toledo, respectively. But yeah, I understand given last night certainly anything can happen.

Regardless of how it all shakes, out, the best scenario would be one where Akron and Kent have to play each other in their first game. Getting one of the "home" teams out Day 1 would be a good start!

Wide open tournament. Akron looks very shaky. Toledo looked like they could beat Purdue last night. Ohio looks very strong.

The Mountain West is a potential 7-bid league this year. How are they that much better than the MAC?

right, in that situation the only way you lose is by committing an offensive foul (Kent-JMU) or throwing it toward the other team's basket.

I was shocked at that pass. The ONE place you don’t throw it is to a spot towards the Zips basket, where if it’s intercepted, it’s an easy layup for the win. Madness! Throw towards your basket. Even if they steal it, they have 3/4 of the court to go in less than two seconds.
