Yep. I think this team is much worse than the 5-25 team. It's the least fun I've had in my tenure as an ODU fan. By far. What a bummer of a season. Glad we are maybe seeing some light in the future.

The good thing is its much easier to build nowadays. Jones will have to see if he wants a Pitino quick fix or a Cooley slow build.

But I would take Jenkins as a start over anything on that prior roster. And Pounds is a lot like Richard Ross. Ceaser is at least a talent.

Is a slow build even an option any more for mid majors with the instant transfers and NIL? As soon as someone shows promise and potential they're gone.

JMU and App didn’t get to this level of success over one offseason.

Exactly. We need to go into next year just hoping to be somewhat competitive with a chance to be playing well at the end of the year. That is year 1 goals. I don't believe that is achieved by bringing back guys from this roster. We will see.

Speaking of goals for next year, our entire athletic department and all teams should be focused on a total beat down of JMU in all sports! They have had a couple of years of decent teams and our decades of past domination over them is forgotten like it never happened. It's time to remind everyone ODU>jmu.

Yes. You cant play scared that every kid is going to leave. Put a foundation in place and make it enticing for them to stay. If they leave, have a plan for their departure. The pendelum is about to switch back to high school recruits, IMO.

On another note, I'd rather play with zero announcers than have them call the game off site. Is that not embarrassing for the people involved to hear announcers believe Chaunce actually shot with 6 seconds left?
