On3 Top 5 next 3 years ACC football projections

His rankings were: 1 FSU 2 UM 3 Clem 4 UL 5 NCSU

His reasoning was sound, but I'd go a different route:

1 UL - Jeff Brohm is why. He uses the transfer portal effectively, can recruit well, he wins every where he goes including a trip to Charlotte in his first season. Why would anyone expect him to go backwards?

2 Clem - They may not be trending in the right direction in the last 3 seasons, but they still recruit well, they will still be the ACC's premier football school. 2023 with 9 wins is their floor, they will get at least that every season.

3 UM - Mario Cristobal is the best coach Miami has had since Butch Davis. He is getting things turned around and bringing excitement back to Miami. NIL has also benefitted Miami, they might be in the best position to utilize the NIL in all the ACC.

4 NCSU - They have been consistently above average as well at beating their rival UNC and with Mac soon heading off to retirement, there is no reason to think that they would not continue to be the top program in their state for the next 3 seasons.

5 VT - They really showed a lot of life in the 2nd half of the season. They have their QB of the future Kyron Drones for up to 2 more seasons and Brent Pry seems to have done a good job rebuilding the VT program. The next season and after should be the money years.

I don't see FSU finishing in the top 5 either. Good post.

Yeah sure, GT has as good a chance as say Syracuse of making the top 5 in the ACC.

Uh, FSU will be out of the ACC after next season. I think a lot of people don’t take this seriously but that’s what’s happening. Don’t let the screen door hit you where the bulldog bit you.

Reading the tea leaves. I give FSU a 20% chance of staying in the ACC past the 24-25 cycle.
