hear me out I am very aware that they don’t have a football program however, how do you feel on whether or not we should add affiliate members for basketball and baseball? I’m aware that we had UT Arlington and Little Rock, Arkansas has affiliate membership, baseball and basketball but call Charles is normally pretty good in baseball and basketball year-round. They just won their outright regular season championship for the first time in school history, makes the distance between call Saul and the Georgia schools easier as a bridge, etc.

No, hell no, and 1000 times no to affiliate members in major sports.

A hybird conference is a disjointed conference. Been there, done that, no desire to go back.

The fact they don't even have a football team makes that an absolutely not.

I can’t see us returning to a hybrid model again unless a crazy advantageous situation falls into our lap.

Why are there always threads about should such and such school join, but there's never any reason for them to join? It's like people look at other conferences expanding and feel the need to just invite people for the heck of it instead of there being a reason to do it.

Wichita is the only baseball/basketball/softball/volleyball combo school I would ever consider but they make even less geographical sense than Missouri St.

Good grief. Some need a job to stay off this site. If they have a job they need to do it.

i mean...IF they had a football team, and good success in FCS, and a stadium, and 5-10,000 more students - then it does make sense

Let's keep affiliate members to Mens soccer, beach volleyball, and Women's swimming/diving.

It would instantly elevate Sun Belt basketball. A good add in my book.

This isn't really related, but while we're talking about far-fetched ideas...I've always thought that if UNC Wilmington ever added football, they would be a great add for the SBC.

They're like ECU, but actually close to the beach. Plus Wilmington is a much better area than Greenville for tourism, and the population of Wilmington is higher than Greenville.

No thanks. Personally have no interest in affiliate members in major sports.
