Refs suck, Wes sucks, and this roster sucks. Need to clean house? Starting over again would be a killer but it might be required to get this program back to where we want it.

Wes needs to tell his guys to throw real elbows on every possession. Make the refs make that call every time. Houston is quasi pushy *****. Hit em in the face if you are going to lose, make them feel it.

No shame in losing at Houston, but it's concerning how they are getting beat. They play so timid

The basketball abilities and the skill level of these players has been greatly over estimated and to compound the problem they are being lead by a horrible coaching staff.....

Second verse same as the first. Bandaogo misses a FT to start the half, then doesnt help on defense on the other end. We continue to make dumb mistakes. This team just gets worse as the season goes on. Nobody is improving or developing. Just the same bad defending, silly turnovers, and poor offensive execution. No correction or improvement on any of the issues that continue to plague this team. No leadership on the floor. They look like a confused poorly coached ill-prepared team. Some of Mick’s first team and early teams had much less talent but played better basketball. This team has talent and plays some of the worst most unwatchable basketball I can ever remember from a UC team in the last 30 years.

Houston reminds me of some of Huggins teams, great defensive, somewhat ok offense. But when it comes to tournament time, and getting refs outside this league will be their downfall. They foul more then any team I’ve ever seen - playing the odds that the refs will not call them all. That won’t happen with other league refs.

And further…UC basketball NEVER exceeds preseason expectations. I can’t even think of the last team that somewhat significantly exceeded expectations. Maybe the head Larry Davis coached for Mick?

A lot but the cost to keep him might be worse. Same thing with the football coach. Losing in the current landscape of college sports potentially relegates you to the minor leagues. There is no time to rebuild, it’s a win now world. Basketball doesn’t take time to build, you win the portal season and have a tournament level roster.

Not sure being ranked #1 is a downfall unless you don't it all. Houston is kinda want you want to be.

Not when the buyout in 8 figures and your AD is still not even balancing its sheets. Cunningham isn't going to let him go until the enemy is at the gates since he goes as Miller goes at this point.
