He's a walk-on too, he hasn't played much this season but we have 6 scholarship players out with injuries.

Has to be the worst loss in years. Not to take anything away from the huskies, they deserved this.
You could see this coming from early on. And it did not change. Also, as we know the size of our starting five is really a problem!

What happened to Moss? Gotta be a back story there.

Poor defense the entire second half. Not playing championship calibre ball at the time of year that it's needed. Looks like another year to talk "dancing,"

A couple seasons ago we did this vs. CMU. No internal way to get our guys focused?

Backdoor cuts for wide open dunks and layups reminded me of our 2014 team.

Bad L. Doesn't matter though.

15 seed if they win the MAC now.

Losing to a team that had 3 Conference wins.
Just terrible defense!

Toledo is still the better team, seems we somehow get one of these MAC games every year we have no business winning.

This is the Toledo team I was expecting to see this year. Not a team contending for first place, but a team who loses to a 3-11 limping team on home court. Oof.

I think this team has peaked. K got as much as he could out of them. Zero D, short in stature, don’t shoot all that well or at least consistently. Freshman have played well but this is all a big ask. If players (Moss) can’t get up for these types of games at end of season with a lot on line then coaching can only do so much. First round exit is coming!

And OU just beat Akron. We could have been tied for first again. Stupid Rockets. Glad I spaced-cadeted this one. Saw Halftime score, up 11. Then shocked to see the final.

Got beat 19-10 off the bench if I'm reading the stats right. They were the ones missing guys and only go 9 deep. They went 8, we went 9. I missed Coach K postgame, curious what he said.

Really bad loss.

On edit: to a team they were giving 15-16. Don't know the O/U but I'm guessing under was the way to go.

Last 10 minutes of the game it seemed like NIU just made 3-pointers (70%) and layups/dunks. We had no answer for either. NIU on the other hand didn’t let us make layups and guarded our 3’s. Cochran was our only reliable scorer.

Worst loss, worst team…..relax. Akron, BG, and CMU all lost tonight. The only reason this loss makes so many people upset is because Toledo has outperformed the preseason expectations and are in the hunt. There is still plenty of time for them to regain their composure.

Quit apologizing with that we crap, you aren't on the team. Stop with the We, you aren't on the team. Huskies needed this, good game Toledo. Respect.

RE: Here come the Huskies
No way to sugar coat this game, this was a “brutal loss for Toledo especially with 1st Place Akron and 3rd Place CMU both also losing. When you look at the Box Score and you see Toledo shooting 50% overall and have 22 assists and only 6 turnovers, you think that is good enough to win on most nights. But tonight despite Toledo being bothered again by a Zone Defense that slowed their offense down, it was the defense or I should say lack of defense in the second half that led to their demise Toledo played matador defense the entire second half allowing NIU to score 47 points mostly on three pointers or layups off of backdoor cuts by their Interior players.. David Coit was outstanding with 27 points, but his supporting cast also played a big part in their win. Will Loving-Watts, who averages 6ppg, had 12, Oluwasgun Durosinmi who averages 1ppg. finished with 12, and Zion Russell who averages 3ppg had 9. As for Toledo, other than Tyler Cochran’s 27 points that kept them in the game, there was not much else to like about their effort which is surprising since this team has come to play for the most part every game this season. What symbolized this effort was early in the second half when it looked like TK and Raheim Moss had words for each other which led to Moss not getting off the bench until the last minute when Toledo was forced to press. Its not about Toledo winning a 4th Straight MAC Regular Season Championship at this point in time. These next 3 games are all about how Toledo manages this late season adversity and attempts to get their mojo back going into the Tournament!

RE: Here come the Huskies
I was at the game, what I saw except for Cochran and Dre, the other starting 4 had tired legs. Moss (22 mins of play tonight) may have had words with TK, don't know what that was all about, but I thought other than his 2 dunks, Moss didn't look like himself tonight. No robust energy from his play or mouth. I wonder if he was under the weather and tried to work through it ? Cochran is just a beast, we all know that. I think UT has now lost 4 out of the last 7, to include the first MAC lost on home court this season. God knows, UT needs a relaible rebounder next season, Simmons and our other bigs right now are not it. I wonder if TK shakes up the lineup next game, inserting Dre in the starting lineup, Wilson (could have benefitted by having a redshirt year) sits. Moss and Maddox at the guards. 20 win season could be in jeopardy ?

Thought the team looked tired against BG. Same lack of energy last night.
