I stand corrected. There's about 225 about 50 are WMU fans. 6 students

20 seasons of bad basketball will kill a crowd.

Billingsley actually shoots the 3 at 30.8%. So… you may want to reconsider this post.

I stand corrected but I still don’t want him shooting the 3 when he’s the only low post scoring option.

Official attendance per ESPN: 1,612. Not a bad crowd for a Tuesday night game.

Nice win! Thought we were dead in the water once Acuff got hurt, but we got some clutch baskets from Lovejoy. Answered every time it looked like Western would take the lead. Always great to beat our rivals!

Hopefully Acuff’s injury isn’t too serious, but ice on the top of the foot is always scary. If it’s a lisfranc injury, those are notoriously difficult to play through and they take forever to fully heal. It’s encouraging that he wasn’t in a boot though.

I do hope TyCuff recovers for sure. But not sure it will impact the season. Yes, EMU is in the running to make it to Cleveland. But would need to win out their last 3 games (which still would not guarantee it).

So not to be insensitive to TyCuff’s injury, and CERTAINLY am wishing him the best. But the very meager silver lining in this is we will get to see what the rest of the team can do. Unfortunately, Lovejoy has not looked at full capacity since returning from concussion protocol (that kid has had a rough season too with regard injuries).

WMU went 6-19 on free throws which probably cost them the game.

So, the announcers said Saturday will be senior day for 4 student athletes and 2 student assistants. I am not sure where the student athlete number is coming from.

The most probably candidate as being a senior is Yusuf Jihad who graduated in December (after only 3 and 1/2 years of school- impressive). He would have one more year of eligibility due to Covid season, but he may be planning to transfer as a grad student. So in that sense, he is indeed a senior.

Tyson Acuff, Connor Serven, and Kevin David-Rice are all in their 4th years of college. So might be graduating this semester.

Those are the 4 I can think of. But, yes it is wierd because they are all listed as juniors with the Covid year.
