Fantastic! This is a huge coup for the MAC. We get a premium brand (at least in comparison to directional Kentucky) in the league in all sports.

I’m shocked that UMASS is allowing its basketball program to come to the MAC, given our horrendous basketball reputation. They must be desperate.

I could see Uconn for FB but with a scheduling alliance in basketball. Maybe two games at MAC and one at UConn.

WKU would make more sense geographically. Plus, it's in bourbon country.

Where is WKU Mid-TenSt coming from? Didn’t the MAC discuss this with them a couple years ago and did not work? Is their conference imploding now or something?

Plus, I am with Bovine on this. UMass is a prestige addition, kind of upped my standards at this point.

If football only, MAYBE they accept. I would take them under those conditions. Maybe make them throw in baseball too.

I have also seen talk of WKU. My understanding is that they wanted in 2 or 3 years ago, but MTSU screwed it up for them. They might have to buy out CUSA somewhere around $2.4m to leave. MAC offers stability and a reasonable travel cost that CUSA can't match.

I'd love to see Northern Iowa. They have a big and enthusiastic fan base. Doubt they would leave the MVC for basketball but definitely would for football and they play in a dome!

I love rivalries. I would love WKU but ONLY if MTSU came with it. UCONN and UMASS is a great ready made rivalry.

Which team/s will be asked to leave? Or are we going back to divisional conference?

My guess was Eastern Kentucky.

I like to add a team that would boost our media revenue.

No one has been asked to leave. Why would be go back to divisions? Divisionless play makes more sense this way. A UCONN, UMASS, Buffalo pod makes a ton of sense actually.
