Will a win by McDevitt today go a long way in saving his job?

This game will be close.

It won’t save his job. He has a lot to do for him to get another year.

This is the game I've been dreading. As bad as MTSU is this year, they'll have their breakout game against us today at their place.

Tops are only favored by 3.5 the last time I checked.

WKU 36 - MSTU 34 at the half. Shocked we are up going into the half considering how the game started and we were down 12 at one point.

That was a fun game to watch! We were definitely the benefactor of some luck plus some bad officiating, particularly the timeout our player tried to call late in the game when we didn't have any.

Should have been a technical foul on MTSU (he was CLEARLY calling for a TO) giving WKU foul shots and possession with about 10 secs left in the game.

He slid on his butt 3 feet with the ball before all of that as well. Order of calls should have been, travel, technical foul, then jump ball. Somehow middle got gifted with the possession arrow. Tops only have themselves to blame, though. Played about the worst 40 minutes of ball we’ve played all year in conference play.

Official did not see the signal for a timeout. Also--that rule may have been changed.

That final series of plays is Not what made the difference IMHO.

MTSU clearly deserved the "W".

Nice contingent of WKU fans tonight.

WKU play held them at bay for the most part.

I thought our guys fought very hard on defense. That is what won the game for us.

And, yes, the officials were pretty bad, but I"ve seen worse.

59 free throws was definitely what everyone came to see. Thought it was bad both ways for most of the game, but the sequence at the end is about as bad as you will ever see in college basketball. Officials should honestly be looked at by the assigning secretary for suspension.

All that was missing from McD’s little cheerleader routine was a back handspring. That was ridiculous. Embarrassing.

Worst shooting night overall since Nov. 24th, from inside the arc since Dec. and you lose by 2 on the road against a team having their senior night. That makes 5 conferences loses by a total of 16 points, we have been in every league game so far. This was a tough loss to take due to it being a rival and the phantom jump ball call near the end.

Has WKU ever truly "lost" to MT ?

It's always the refs or injuries or.........

even when Kermit was blowing out the Toppers

Looks like MT is finishing strong, and McDevitt is coaching himself into another season.
