Veatch to Missou?
Was listening to Gaston's show on the drive to work this morning. Reports saying Veatch is a finalist for the Missouri AD job.

Time for Veatch to go; if he is actively seeking another job.

He must be a pretty good AD if other schools are after him

Seems like a good fit.
Veatch is experienced in keeping programs solidly mid-conference.

We stuck with an AD for almost 20 years that no one else wanted and had no ambition and that decision is a major reason why we are still in the AAC and not in the Big 12.
We hired RC Johnson the same year Lousiville broke ground on Papa Johns Stadium. At the time, we were probably an equal athletic department. Unfortunately we hired RC Johnson and Louisville hired Tom Jurich the next year.
One of those guys had ambition and the other would rather spend his time with 3 hour lunches at Houston's.
I am all for hiring ADs with ambition cause maybe that'll rub off on us.

Pretty much. We’ve lost several associate ADs to them

Just wondering…is there ANYONE in the entire athletic department that you deem worthy of their position? Would love to see your commentary on each of the major players - Veatch, Silverfield, Hardaway, etc.

Oh, Dense Danny, you just can't help yourself, can you? Sorry, I do not happy clap 4th (7th & 8th) place conference finishes. I know your Coach of the Millenia trophy you made in art class for Ruin is dear to you, but remember, many have higher & more realistic expectations for our programs than leading from behind, just like our AD.
However, it appears the soccer/tennis/rifle programs are doing well!
So congrats to LL, I'm sure he has a few more emails typed up to really reinvigorate the fanbase.
P.S. It's playoffs or bust for ole Ruin this year with our cupcake schedule + senior laden team, no more excuses.

Didnt Veatch get here in October of the year Norvell left? There was only a 6-8 week overlap. Veatch had nothing to do with these recent/current OOC football schedules, that was all Bowen’s doing.

We're still working with Bowen scheduling screw ups in football.

Do you think the Walton family may be inside contact that Missouri uses with the Memphis athletic department ?

People resorting to insults lose credibility. Civil discourse allows for differing opinions without the attacks.
