They aren't really saying what happened over on twitter. I just don't understand how they think it is cool to constantly yell at other players so loudly you hear them on the broadcast almost all game. It is unbearable

They were literally harmless last night - one of the most casual I've seen them in years. Nothing at all worthy of being thrown out, there have been MANY games where they have been much more vocal and abrasive perhaps.

There was one ref on a power trip, who must be used to calling high school or jr high games, nothing more than that.

As far as hearing them on the radio, they literally sit right next to the radio booth so of course you would hear them. There's many people in the crowd yelling as much as they do - you just don't hear them because they aren't as close to the mics (or see them because they aren't on the camera view).

They were literally about as subdued last night as they've been in a long time.

The OVC has to be embarrassed by this ref, if they aren't well - they've proven they aren't concerned about the fan experience after not even suspending a player that literally slapped a fan during a game last year, lol. When they didn't care about that, they proved they don't care about a team's fans at all.

I for one am sick and tired of people bitching about our fans on the side of the court riding the other teams players. It's a basketball game, THAT'S WHAT FANS ARE SUPOSED TO DO. Apparently you people weren't around when we were still a DII power. The band and the fans in that corner got on the opposing coach and bench players something unmercifully. They made this group of fans look like a bunch of little kids with their taunts. I remember the Morehead coach used to get in a running yelling match with some of the band members. It was hilarious. We need much more of that.

Agree. We have a shortage of passionate fans.

As a former member of "the fans in the corner", it did my Semo fan heart proud to see that one of the guys being told to leave last night is the son of a former member of that section lol.

I, and 25-30 of my closest friends, would have been removed from every game over a 4-yr period if that is all it took to get thrown out.

Those were truly the great days to be a fan. It was an event to go to the games then.
Remember the Redmen and the guy dressed up in a referees shirt with sunglasses and a cane walking around. "NO" we will never go back to DII and shouldn't. We just need to start competing for a championship every year.
