BobW, I sure wouldn't resign either! 375k a year for winning 30% of your games! We'll in life would dream to have his situation......Heath was given 900k when Arkansas fired him, and South Florida 1.5 million when they fired him in 2015! 2.4 million just to be let go......Heath definitely doesn't need the money I'd hope!
Yup. Don't be mad at Heath, he didn't hire himself. If the powers that be think he is terrible at his job, they should have the b***s to fire him. We don't have that luxury in our jobs but that's not Stan Heath's problem.

Not mad at Heat but I’m mad at the AD! He’s failed in hiring baseball and basketball coaches. Thank God Luke hired Creighton or our athletic department would be in shambles. I imagine Wetherbes seat is very hot too!!!
The hiring of Creighton was an excellent hire but you cannot make the assumption that the hiring of someone else would have automatically been a disaster! Hiring coaches is not a zero sum game. Who knows, Like could have hired someone just as good as Creighton, or better or as you speculate, someone shambolic. We will never know. I just try to appreciate what we have, an excellent coach and a wonderful ambassador for EMU football. 04-cheers

Don't forget that half this board wants to run CC out of town every time he loses a game.

Dear Friends,
It's not that some want Coach Creighton to leave or be fired for every loss. It is the loses that people here feel should have been victories. That leads, rightly or wrongly, to think that Coach Creighton plays not to lose, instead of playing to win.

I think he plays the percentages, knowing that a lot of games he is at a talent disadvantage.

Agree. Creighton did have two real disastrous seasons to start but after year three an upward trajectory was established. Heath, given the same amount of time is static.

You guys are pretty much on point, he is a great coach.

I just saw EMU auto extend his contract after his WORST season in the last full seven years. That is counter intuitive to me. I am going to ***** heavily about it.

Then I see his current recruits. He is working his butt off to improve the team. I'm sanguine, once again.

Instead of you and Holy Cow artificially bumping up each other's reputation rating, offer a suggestion of who would be a better coaching option for EMU football!

Those that want him fired must be UofM fans. Any coach over there loses a game or has a bad season. They screech we need a new coach. 07-coffee3

Bob, did you actually read my post? If so, I find no justification or rationale for yours.

You seem far too immersed in Cow's rating of 52, which I "artificially" bumped WAY UP from 50 with just ONE PLUS TWO rating.

Bob you are not an idiot, you actually are a very knowledgeable sports fan. You, however, search out confrontation like this regarding Creighton, when there should be none, hence your 13 rating. Stop treating all of the posters on this site like the ONLY one I have on ignore and we ALL know who he is. Your ratings will improve as a result.
