Most obvious answer is Caleb Mills went out for the season, and that's when we fell apart. Even the TV guys mentioned that today.

He was our 3rd leading scorer, but more importantly, our best on ball defender, and the on court leader of the team.

Also, Jordan Brown left for 11 games, then came back. That did nothing for chemistry.

Mills was this team's Antonio Anderson, the guy who would get in your face if you didn't give it your all. But Penny also wings it, he never establishes thresholds and sticks to them. I still think you can track the collapse back to Jordan Brown rejoining the team. Penny publicly said that only two players voted to take him back after he was 'sick' for weeks, and yet here he is.

Sounds like great material for an upcoming Dr Phil episode. I mean, come on. I have huge respect for Memphis and still expected a late run out of this team when they cut it to 17 because they’re capable. And they can still win the AAC tournament in my opinion….no doubt…but my god…it’s always something with this team!

He considered going to Orlando. But with the way this season has imploded, I doubt anybody is itching to hire him.

All we can really hope is he figures it out somehow. Sooner or later.

Nobody at Memphis hates Penny. We all want him to succeed. So now is an agonizing time.

This is the last stop for these guys auditioning for the NBA. They could give two ***** about each other. In fact, they hate each other because they stand in each others way.

Not surprising that Walton is being called out there. He had some of the worst body language I've seen in a Shocker uniform at the end of last year. Actively pouting on the floor when someone wouldn't pass to him. He went out with a blaze of glory sending a double bird to the fans on Instagram when he announced his transfer. Then add in the fact that he managed to bounce between 4 schools in one off season... You could see it all coming. He's definitely not their only problem .. but he's definitely one of them.
