Missed 2...
Looks like we need a new kicker.
Why do we play George mason so much? We own the series and we pulled football numbers on them
No idea. They are usually decent though. They won 36 games last season and went to a regional.
Our schedule is loaded though. A lot of good matchups.
They also lost 27.
Well yeah, and they also made it to their regional's final. With wins over a very good Northeastern and Maryland.
The point was they weren't an awful team a season ago. Picked pretty high in their conference this season too.

It’s always fun to give these cold weather yankee schools a nice warm southern welcome in February.

Wild opening day. Did anyone else notice how many teams had more runs than hits?

Wished coastal would play some SEC team. I get it the closest one is USC (I want a three way instate rivalry or 4 if we could get CofC to play ball) while we’re closer to several AAC/ACC teams. Our SoS would be insane

Marist's plan was to pelt us with the ball until we gave in. It didn't work, but it did make getting hits difficult. Honestly, I think our coaches started telling our hitters to try and get some hits and that we'd have gotten a few more runs if we'd never swung at the ball.

In State, Coastal definitely has a better scheduling relationship with Clemson. We even held scrimmages with each other. They happen to be the highest ranked team in the state this season.
Our schedule is about as good as it realistically can get non-conference:
This season we have games against:
- #1 Wake Forest
- #10 Clemson
- #12 Duke
- #13 NC State
- #15 North Carolina
Campbell has potential to be a nice RPI game as well.
This along with a really tough SBC Slate...our SOS will be more than fine. That's the last thing we need to be worried about.

Between Arkansas and stAte, I think I saw 10 HBPs, today.

Pretty typical for early season games, coaches are still flushing out their rotation and top pen arms, and most starters are on pitch ounts.
