O/T Detroit Mercy wins
Detroit Mercy Titans defeated the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis Jaguars at historic Calihan hall to end a 26 game losing streak. The Titans got their first win of the year and one fan wandered onto the court. Every team makes the conference tournament in the Horizon league so "your telling me there's still a chance"

In the postgame interview UDM's Stone said, "At this point, it's all about getting ready for March."

He experienced more joy in that moment than I’ve felt over our basketball program since the 90s.

I kind of like the MAC tournament structure in which only the top 8 teams get on. This gives the regular season more meaning to perform as well as you can.
However, it also means EMU, NIU, and Buffalo’s seasons are effectively over at this point- barring some miraculous turnaround in the last 7 games. So conversely, for these three teams it is almost as if the remaining games are meaningless.

Actually, that counts as 3 wins: Indiana, Purdue, and Indianapolis University.

UDM almost beat 18-6 Ole Miss to start the season. If I had put $500 in bitcoin in 2010.....

Repeating a comment I made elsewhere:
In terms of basketball in MI:
UDM, Pistons, EMU, UofM, and WMU, men's D-1 and NBA hoops has been...
Take the Lodge near UDM, go to LCA and then 94 to Ypsilanti then a short drive west to Ann Arbor and then 94 west to K'zoo
Not much (good hoops) to see here.
