It allows us to play Osojnik at the 2 position, preserve Acuff from having to chase rabbit guards all over the floor and covers up our lack of frontcourt speed. We are who we are.

As usual, Jerry is on the money regarding our front court foot speed not enough for man to man but I would say Arne and Jihad struggle too. Fortunately BG shot terribly from 3 point land but just a slightly better shooting percentage would have been another L.

Yes, I agree. It has worked well. Was it full time/ whole game yesterday and Toledo? I know with NIU (and maybe Louisiana-Monroe) it was predominant but was actually an adjustment.

That said, Bowling Green’s front court is very limited. Which is why I think we matched up so well with them in both games. Regardless, keep the zone predominant for sure.

Earlier Stan was pulling guys in and out too much. This smaller rotation seems to be working better

I’m very happy for the ‘W’ but we needed two miracles: 1) T. Acuff had to have a game that was NBA caliber and 2) BG had to shoot poorly from the 3 point line. I’m not sure if we played again we would get the same outcome but I’m not going to take this W from us. Happy for the team!

I attended the game yesterday, and agree with the comments already made about the team, and I thought they were a scrappy bunch that kept the pressure on Bowling Green.
I also ran into Scott Wetherbee, and asked him about the track removal from Rynearson. He said the process will begin in june, if I remember correctly, and the new track facility will be located were the softball diamonds are now located. He added that a new football field will be installed, with green surrounding where the track was located. There will be no additional seats at this time.
I'm assuming you mean the track will be next to the rec fields and not replace the rec fields. Those fields get a ton of tournament action from travel baseball and softball. Definitely an asset.

Wasn't Ken referring to the fmr. softball field by Cornell and Huron River?

Dear steve,
I was just repeating what Scott Wetherbee said, as I remember. I don't know the size of eight lane tracks, but Scott did say this would be a track facility, so I am assuming this could take up a good chunk of land.

Varsity Field isn't big enough also the band uses it for practice. Knowing the the rec/im softball field as I do. There's not enough room for both. There's two fields and parking for 50-60 cars. The track alone will use up most of it.07-coffee3

Where do YOU say the track is going?

The band practices on the football sized field just north of the softball stadium's left field fence. They do not practice on Varsity Field.

The intramural fields (4 field complex near the apartments being built) has a large gravel parking lot. There's open land on the other side of that lot, SW of the fields. I think that is where the new track is going.
