BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT
Which player has been your biggest disappointment to what your expectations were for them this season. For me it's David Idada. 7' 250 lbs. I expected around 20 minutes a game, 8-10 ppg, and 6-7 rpg. We've got 8.9 minutes pg, 1.6 ppg, and 2.7 rpg.
He gets the ball right under the basket and the first thing he looks to do is pass it back out or put it on the floor (a death sentence for a big man). Your 7' 250lbs., go back up with it and put it in the hole! MAN....act like your 7" 250lbs. Idada and Hanback both need to attend a big man school this summer.

RE: BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT
I've not been disappointed IN but disappointed FOR Dylan Branson. He obviously just hasn't been able to play much with the injuries and that has to be highly frustrating for him. I really think his on the court experience and leadership would have been helpful, especially with these younger guys. That said, I have seen him being a vocal leader on the sideline in talking with, encouraging, etc. his teammates.

I did notice Idada seemed to show more life and an edge last night. If both he and Hanback could consistently do that it would be a darn good set of weapons. You could pretty much have a fresh seven footer on the court at all times with 10 fouls to give instead of just five (not that you want to use all of them).

RE: BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT
I didn't really have much thoughts on Idada being that it's his first season in competitive U.S. basketball. My disappointment was in thinking Elkamil would be a contributor. Maybe I've missed news that he is hurt again, but a transfer from Tulsa and can't get minutes on the court of a middling OVC squad. I expected him to be an outside threat.

RE: BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT
Would I be out of line to say coaching staff?
1) For not putting together a roster that could compete towards the top of the conference?
2) For missing the tournament with a roster that should have been good enough to finish top 8?

Losing Clark again really hurt. Korn signed some very good guards, Martin, Ward, and Bell. The problem with them and most of the team is they were just young and needed experience. We got about as much as we could hope for from Early but his problem was he's only 6'7". Most all of the good teams in the conference had a rim protector and Early wasn't big enough for that and our two 7's just weren't ready for DI ball.
I'm really looking for good things next year from Martin, Bell, and Eursher. Clark (if we can keep him healthy) and Stacker should be solid and Biel off the bench should be improved. Now I think we need to go into the portal and get a PF with some size that can play inside and out.

I agree about having lost Clark again. Just his energy and rebounding prowess alone could have made a real impact. And yes we definitely need more of an inside presence. Earley was forced to play bigger than his body almost all of the time and did yeoman's work being undersized.

We need a more dependable scorer more than anything. A guy that when there's 2 mins left and we need a bucket - we can go to. Harris and Russell from the year before both fit that role, last year no one really did. Preferably that scorer would also be able to consistently knock down a 3.
