RE: Contract extension for Whitten and new AD
Ok with Whitten extension as long as it’s <3years. 2024 will be a breakout year for Mason Miller and the offense, defense needs to step up. As I’d hoped, we signed some nice slot WRs, still need a QB that can “throw guys open” in coverage. Overall I’m bullish on our chances to make a deep playoff run, and Whitten has earned a shot to lead us there.

As far as the new AD - he looks great on paper. LOVE that he’s spent some quality time in Lubbock. However, I personally can’t decide for sure if I like him or not until I hear him SPEAK! Is he not giving a presser or acceptance speech?! Can anybody, anywhere find some tape of this man actually talking??

An introductory press conference for the new AD will be held Feb. 26 at 11 a.m. in the Thompson Student Center Ballrooms.
