I remember the Sesquicentennial!
That was quite a summer here: among other things, the Rockets made the NBA finals; Houston (including Rice) hosted the US Olympic Festival; and the Astros won the NL West (clinched by Mike Scott's no-hitter).

Looks like another political action group but not sure their purpose. Looks like a data collector of everything effecting Texas for the future and have all the experts to discuss it.

And because of what was going on in my personal life at the time, I will always remember 1986 as the worst year of my life.
