Wofford can really shoot the ball. 11-22 on 3's last time.
Bucs dominated the first 37 minutes then were absolutely terrible the last 3. Still had a chance to win at the end.

Garsh this is ugly. 2-0 ETSU at the under 16 TO.
We should wear these unis all the time.

Good offensive rebounding, but just. can't. hit. those 1- and 2-ft. shots.
Neither team looking good or smooth. We could easily be down 10-12.......or up 10-12. Not *quite* an exercise in futility, but both teams taking stabs at it.
Refs are most certainly "letting them play".....

As bad as our offensive efficiency was*, our defense (esp. since we've been discussing that in the El Cid thread) was quite excellent. Great on-the-ball guarding and challenges, nice rim protection and blockage action, intensity, and pretty good blocking out. We overplay a bit much, imo, but that's just the way we play. Better than the opposite, I suppose. One of our better D efforts of the season, as I saw it. Karon Boyd, obviously, is a *huge* factor when that's working well. And his composure at the FT line tonight was fantastic.

Parker played better tonight. Avoided fouling out . Several nice blocks.

Gritty defense won the game. Bucs slowly getting back to finishing above 7th. We need to upset Furman Saturday and keep playing defense. Sooner or later the offense is going to make some shots and we can get separation on teams. But we have to be happy with a hard earned win and it sure beats what happened when we played them down there. I hope everyone comes out and fills Freedom Hall Saturday for a national tv game. Go Bucs!

Mercer beating Furman tonight’s helps.

The coaching staff had Wofford scouted to perfection, and they had an excellent defensive scheme for this game — probably the best of the year. Plus, the players gave maximum effort.

On offense, we've got to be stronger with the ball (much stronger), including making a few of those 1- and 2-footers. It was far from Peterson's best offensive effort, but he made two big free throws down the stretch.

That was a first ballot hall of fame ugly win.
