3 Weeks to go and no leaks on football schedules ?
Don't we usually have people breaking news on upcoming football season scheduling by now? Give it up, guys. 04-cheers

Out of conference games are known. Cross division games are known. What’s not to know with schedules?

If you’re asking specifically about TV schedule then yes, we’re waiting until March.

Id like to know some dates too. I could see Coastal being our Memorial Game or ODU. It usually is never the same opponent

Fun to speculate who gets the TV spots.

The west will be difficult to project, but it seems Troy/USA gets one more often than not.

JMU/App unfortunately likely gets a mid-week game. I do hope we get CCU on a weekend.

Normally it's in the week leading up to March 1 which is when the TV schedule releases. Can't recall seeing anything coming out in the first week of Feb.

JMU vs App (or Marshall/ODU) on a mid-week game would be best for getting fans to turn out. So wouldn't be upset with those.

I expect TXST to host a TV game with the good numbers we pulled for the bowl game. But weekday TV games were extremely unattended in the past so maybe not

Do Tues/Wed games net the schools more money vs a Saturday game?

Tues/Wed Game = national game that draws flies and an empty stadium that's terrible for brand optics

vs

Saturday game = an ESPN+ stream with a slightly filled stadium that only draws streamers who are real fans

What do you think is better for most schools/conference as a whole?

We don't really have an empty stadium for weeknight games typically so not really an issue for us.

We've played a weekday game at home both seasons, but Id like us to play that on the road this year.

App is currently open on September 21. The only SBC team’s available to fill that slot are ODU or Georgia State.

I used to think the worse your record is the year before the less likely you'll get mid-week games the following year, be careful what you wish for. Last year was the first time since 2017 App had one mid-week game not two. Part of that could be due to the 14 teams post-realignment though.

Last year didn't follow that model; USA, CCU, S. Miss, and GA St. had two mid-week games. Ark St., ULM, ODU, and Texas St. had none.

I fully expect JMU at App to be a mid-week game and most likely App @ CCU as well over App @ Marshall.

Marshall has an opening on 9/14 and honestly I hope it stays a bye. I believe the only team with a opening is ULM and I really don't want the home game that weekend.

FYI, there's an extra week in the 2024 season since Aug. 31 is a Saturday. So if you don't have a Tuesday/Wednesday game, you'll have two full bye weeks.

BTW, App State hasn't had a true bye week since 2019.

RE: 3 Weeks to go and no leaks on football schedules ?
Maybe we'll know about weekday games early cause I've definitely heard those on Saturdays before March 1 in the past. They got it done early last year and didn't wait for the leaks over the weekend, so they announced it on Friday, Feb. 24.

This year, March 1 is a Friday, and also the last day of the basketball regular season.

I remember when Georgia State played in the Georgia Dome there were a couple times the conference schedule was delayed to make sure they didn't double book with the Falcons.

I'm a little anxious to see the schedule but I can be patient. We know who we are playing and that's the main thing for me.
