USF stands alone at the top of the league, as we all expected.

FAU's loss to UAB will not by itself harm FAU's at large prospects, but it lessens their margin for error.

It is essential FAU win or the AAC will likely be a one-bid conference and conference schools will lose tourney credits. Memphis needs the money.

AAC Scores Week 14

If you’d asked me three weeks ago I’d have said no way.

Despite the SMU “blow job” the other day the team has markedly improved since then.

Not only did we defeat the defending champs in their house, we also won our Super Bowl with our payback win over utsa mbb.

Of the 7 conference games where we’ve blown 9 point leads, we’ve still come back from losing the lead to win in two of them.

Seriously if this team continues to gel and makes, let’s say, a 2-1 semifinal run in Fort Worth then Pera is absolutely back for more. If not then this could very well be the end of the line.

And if we can somehow win the cbi then that’s just icing on the cake.

I am flattered you lavish sufficient attention on my posts to prompt a post in response. It inspired my construction of a poll. You are welcome to participate and thank you for the idea. 04-cheers

OT sorta, but at the Fairfield-St Peters game and watching former AAC freshman of the year Alexis Yetna play in only his second game of the year, as a 6th year for the Stags.

No Rice lead is safe this season.

Memphis specializes in giving up big leads and inducing cardiac arrest among its fans.

How is ECU in giving up big leads these days? Asking for UTSA MBB.

It is hard to conceive a better turnaround story in college basketball than USF.

We finally hit on a coaching hire for MBB since Stan Heath. Seems we did well with foosball too

True.

But I can think of a worse one.

How about Rice’s repeated second half “turnarounds”?

If we do it once it’s a fluke.
Twice, a coincidence.

We’ve now done it 9 times, just counting conference play!

Which tbh is about the time we started shortening our bench to keep the most talent on the court. And we’re back to last year’s MO of being competitive for 25-35 minutes then fading late.
Mostly still just depth (and/or conditioning) issue, or coaching failure to make in-game adjustments.
