Sherman will compete in the US Olympic Marathon trials this weekend. The former Rocket All-American qualified with a 2:35 clocking earlier this year. Former Rocket Emma Kertesz’s husband is running in the men’s trial. I have no idea why the title says “fun”- I typed “marathon” but I also can’t change it. I hope she has fun.

The winner looked like she could have gone another 10K. Same for the men's winner Well, he actually took second because he was helping a fellow runner out and former teammate? who was about to give up - then let him win it with a 10 yard "kick" at the end instead of crossing together. He looked like he only run a half-marathon at a full marathon pace.

Even with those two runners looking pretty fresh at the end, I'm not sure there is much chance of either winning a medal in Paris. I believe they said the women runners were doing very well on the world stage, so might have a shot there. Also showed Joan Benoit at the start of the race. Winner in 1984 LA Olympics
