Thanks Nickle !
I'll also confirm the #77 Dahoue is the biggest dude I've ever seen in an EMU uniform.

RE: Unofficial 2024 EMU FB Spring Ball
Okay this is it. Spring game 2024 week. Any and all comments will be appreciated...
Will there be food trucks outside for the 100+ fans allowed into the IPF for the game? Lol.
Any comment on the field at Rynearson as it goes through it re-birth sans track?
BTW, I watched part of the D.C. Defenders (UFL) game at Audi Field in D.C. Audi Field is an almost new SOCCER stadium which hosts a few FB games. The bottom line is that Audi Field and Rynearson are both wide enough to host soccer. Audi does not look bad as a football field. Hence I don't think Rynearson will look bad without the track even though, yes, the distanct from the stands to field would, obviously, be unchanged. It will simply be visual perceptions.

Gosh, it would have been a horrible night to watch the game at Rynearson. Rain and 40 MPH winds.
Somewhat surprised I did not get an invite as I had purchased my season tickets on Feb 24.

They told me about it when they called for my ticket renewal. Sounded like only 100 people could go. Unfortunately, other plans for me.

RE: Unofficial 2024 EMU FB Spring Ball
My friend and I are season ticket holders and I believe we were invited via email. At any rate, it was a lot of fun to see the live action and mingle with the players. The weather was so awful outside it was a blessing to have the game inside in order to gain a more accurate assessment on the players. The defense was ahead of the offense but the offense showed some signs of potential. The Buffalo QB transfer started and displayed some nice midrange passing accuracy. Viotto does have a big arm and threw a pass off his back foot about 45 yards while in scramble mode. One QB had some wheels and broke loose for a long touchdown run. I think it was Stuckey but that would mean he enrolled early? All QBs are new except Ike and will need to work on timing but the talent is there.
Our DL is banged up and some key personnel sat out - Price, Evans, and Miles. Each one told me it was precautionary and they are ready to go. Miles and Evans were slated to be the starting DEs last season before injuries during last years fall camp.
Also the huge OT (6’ 9”) guy was in a boot. Hopefully he’s ready to go in a few months. He’s a mountain of a man and so is our converted DT Janvier. That guy is big and thick - muscle. I was impressed with the RF DE Fletcher who looked like he must have lived in the weight room. Definitely put on bulk.
That’s all I’ve got. The game was hold up at first contact to avoid injury. There’s some talent here but need to get healthy.

Stuckey and Everett Small are early enrollees.
Small worked with the ones at Tackle.

One of the lessons of talent management in the era of the transfer portal is how a position can go from barren to abundent in one off season.
Since December we have signed Stuckey, got Snyder and Viotto as transfers.
Now we have potentially one of the strongest groups of QBs in the MAC.

I don’t think it will happen, but it would be something if a true freshman quarterback won the job

Thanks for the recap above, Luckey!
I will say, if Stuckey gets the starting role, then those 2 transfers will be pretty upset. But you got to go with the best option.
Looks like the team has 5 qbs on roster: Snyder (Sr from Buffalo/Rutgers), Viotta (RSo from Minnesota), Ike (Sr returnee), Salem (Jr returnee), and Stuckey. (The 6th qb CamRon McCoy, the Vanzee reported was in attendance but not dressed nor on the roster.)

CC and staff have done an EXCELLENT job revamping one of the worst QB rooms I have ever seen in division 1 football. I think we are in a good spot here, guys. My early guess is that CC goes with the veteran (Snyder). Viotto and Jace are super talented and i hope either one gets time this coming season so that we go into the '26 season with a QB that has had at least some experience.
