I think Tennessee has reached out to the NCAA, and they had nothing.

NIL collectives are beyond NCAA monitoring. The NCAA doesn’t have the manpower to monitor.

1998 didn't mention basketball championships

thinking that NIL wouldnt be pay for play was a very cute idea. Shouldve kept it how it was, it was cheaper to get players prior.

AGs from Virginia and Tennessee filed lawsuit in Eastern District of Tennessee against NCAA. It claims, the NCAA is "enforcing rules that unfairly restrict how athletes can commercially use their name, image and likeness at a critical juncture in the recruiting calendar."

Says the restrictions violate the Sherman Act.

The barely got punished in July. Would be shocked if it isn’t the same script.

I wonder if the AG would be so quick to get involved if it was Memphis in the crosshairs, or any state school other than UTK.

The new president of the NCAA hasn't had to go to court yet and get it handed to him by judges. Just wait.

UTK is setting in motion the end of college sports as we know it. The BIG and SEC are gearing up to tell the NCAA go pound sand. Going to be interesting to see what happens with basketball.
