I like both Commits we got today

I thought Davidson was the best looking of the QBs they offered, so I'm real excited about his commitment. Well done coaches! This class is looking pretty nice.

I was waiting for Hammock to say “**** it” and begin to recruit QBs with size too. He finally did it. Everyone on the team is now a giant. At least they look like a top 25 team on the field. Size at every position.

You can’t coach size.

I just like the fact they picked us over other MAC teams. This should be the standard with all those MAC trophies.

Bunch of schools after the NIU commit now. Probably as good as gone.

Both Newburgh players Benny Patterson and Gavin Leach's original commitment tweets have been deleted. I think that might be their way of saying thry are a free agent again after getting all those P4 offers.

Yup, like I posted earlier, both Newburgh players deleted their NIU commitment tweets from earlier.

It's disappointing to lose someone, but I always say if you're not losing commits to P5 you're not recruiting well enough.

Yeah. Best we go for guys with real pedigree. As opposed to guys whose only other offers are UW Parkside and Carthage.

We are everyone's little brother the way Hammock recruits. 90% of his recruits have no other FBS offers except for us. At best, his recruits might have a few other FBS/MAC offers. Very few, if any, of his recruits have P5 offers (only one I can think of is Antario Brown). Meanwhile, Toledo, WMU, Miami, etc. are pulling in tons of recruits with 10+ FBS offers and even quite a few with multiple P5 offers.

I agree with you to a point. NIU recruits in Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota (to some extent). These are not known as football states. I think more diamonds in the rough because these recruits don't always play top caliber teams or their teams have limited talent. A recent recruit was Harrison Waylee that comes to mind. But overall we seem to get lightly recruited players maybe because we have very little NIL monies.
