What I noticed about Adams is she is a good rebounder but she is not use to the speed of the game and tend to make poor throws and turn the ball over, probably just being young and inexperience. She will be fine with more experience and maturity

Charlotte and Rice for sure, and then some others. But the key is you have to hold serve at home, and get some key road wins like today.

Edmonds has made some changes to PT for the better. No one is hurt. Adams and Jazzy are getting less time. Klacsek is doing much better off the bench than as a starter. And Maya is playing better. I doubt they are giving up on either Jazzy or Adams. They’re both just sophomores and probable future starters.

Let’s hope Fisher, Ennis and Jackson stay healthy and out of foul trouble in games. Those three are the strength of this team. But others can and do contribute at times, so keep the good play going.

Absolutely love that Hayes can play 27 minutes combined in four games, not get too down on herself, and come out and score 18 points in a big win. Professional mentality.

+1

And it shows a love for her team, teammates, school, etc. If you saw the videos after Jackson’s game winner at SMU or the celebration after the USF win, she was one of the first ones off the bench to join in the celebration.

Big difference between the emotions on the men’s and women’s sidelines/bench these days.

Edmonds has mentioned several times that the chemistry of this team is great and one of the best she has ever seen.

Now to be fair, she was showing signs of coming out of her shooting slump against Prairie View and Houston. But I think if she is playing well, Jazzy isn’t going to see as much playing time.

??? Isn't Jazzy DJ's backup at point guard?

BTW, it was only the last two games that Edmonds started giving Klaczek and Maya more minutes. Both had been relegated to the bench, seeing well under 10 minutes of action each, for the several weeks. About time she stopped giving Adams 20+ minutes as she absolutely kills our offensive flow.

Quote:What are the must-know storylines in all 32 conferences?

American Athletic Conference
Wide open race: UConn tore through the first seven years of the AAC without a blemish. When the Huskies returned to the Big East in 2021, the South Florida Bulls and UCF Knights took over and combined to win the next three regular-season titles. With the Knights now in the Big 12 and the Bulls dealing with graduation losses and injury, the American race is wide open for the first time in its history. Things look so different that league newcomers Charlotte and UAB are the current leaders in the standings.

One other change that isn't such good news for the AAC: With just two teams in the top 100 of the NET, and none in the top 75, the AAC will be a one-bid NCAA tournament conference. The league's postseason fate will come down to those five days in Fort Worth at the AAC tournament.

Since that blurb was written, newcomers Rice and UNT have matched UAB for T2 in the league standings (4-1).
UTSA (who beat Charlotte in 2OT) is alone in 5th at 4-2.

THE TOP FIVE IN THE STANDINGS NOW ARE ALL NEWCOMERS!!!

Rice plays Charlotte twice, but the other teams just once.
